Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) is a public law school and a National Law University in Patna, Bihar, India. It was established in 2006 by the Government of Bihar (Bihar Act 24 of 2006) as a public university dedicated to the field of legal education, which is dedicated to achieve excellence in education and research in multi disciplines with its aim to develop the technical as well as professional skills of students. The university has its own building having professionally designed with modern technique having its different department located in various areas.

Courses Offered by the University:

UG and LLM Courses

• Admission to BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes is based on CLAT scores
• Final selection of students is based on the scores obtained in CLAT

PhD Course

• Admission to PhD programme is based on PhD Entrance Test conducted by the University
• Final selection of students is based on the entrance exam scores, followed by Personal Interview (PI) and presentation round

LLD and DPhil Courses

• Admission to LLD and DPhil programmes is merit-based
• Final selection of students is based on the scores obtained in the qualifying exam and their performance in PI and presentation round
